Could It Be The Young Bull?

See I have a problem and the problem is, is my lead dog still very young. I bred this lil red male that I'm still not 100% convinced that he will be something great, although he has shown a lot that I've just brushed to the side. His natural ability to keep visual and make eye contact no matter the distance between the 2 is like no other. His 3 year old father in my opinion has/was earning that lead position amongst the pack because of the relationship between him and the Late Great Meesha, yet that little red dog mimicked her every move in the past and often makes me think of her daily. I've also recalled me saying not long ago that I wanted to run the little red dog with Meesha to see if he can handle the distance because he's been showing me a lil something on his own. It's a little difficult to think about but today when calling out and flashing random hand signals and commands, the little red dog hit 80% of them compared to the others including his fathers 50%. It's only a few dogs that I've owned and bred that have responded with very very little work and a very young age like this, and they've all been great animals in the end. Considering this and a lot more has made me really question if I've been looking at the wrong animal as a lead dog. His father plays a respectable 2nd/3rd dog, but hasn't really satisfied me as of today with stepping into a lead position. Man its been a long time since I've had to find a lead dog, only thing left to do is run this little red dog through some test and see. If he's it the pack will respect it and the rest shall fall in line, cause Ragnar is truly looking for someone else to run the lead. WHAT DO YOU THINK????????
