If the American Bully is an Amstaff to a Pit Bull what did Dave
really do that was so different then what others have been doing since the
beginning of the UKC and AKC. The AKC in
1936 allowed UKC Pit Bulls to register with them until 1938 when they closed
the books and changed the names of the dogs that were registered or 2 years to
Amstaff; that is why the UKC allows AKC Amstaffs to be registered as Pit Bulls.
I can show you in pedigrees that this is documented history, so unless
something else was added to the Amstaff/Pit Bull you basically own a Pit Bull.
Now I’m not haten this is documented history; I had Jeep and Zebo blood way
before we started calling the American Bully the American Bully. In the
beginning the dogs were a bullier version, with more mass than the dogs I was
use to; but still they functioned like a Pit Bull/Amstaff with a lot less
health problems. Now believe me I am a Bully guy and don’t mind the Bull dog
traits added in to give the bone and head size and a slight shorter muzzle, my
point is if you claim your dog is a Pit Bull /Amstaff cross you basically have
what has been here since 1938 and has been being registered in the UKC since
then. Now if something was added that’s when a different breed gets started; the
Doberman is 11 breeds including the American Pit Bull, Rott, Greyhound, and
Shepherd. I truly love the American
bully and have been fighting for it to be nationally recognized as its own
breed but an Amstaff x a Pit Bull is not a breed it’s a line. If you don’t believe
me check and see if some blood is dual registered as AKC Amstaff and UKC Pit
bull. But now, you can register the same dog as an American Bully so more to the
point don’t be so nieve the American Bully in the beginning was just a line of
UKC American Pit Bulls and AKC Amstaffs. I was there in the beginning and help
write the standard for the American Bully from day one, not only once but
revised it later and in the making of the American Bully standard we added the
traits of the Bull Dog. People have been
hanging papers since the beginning of all the registries. I respect and love
all styles from Jeep, Nevada, Larums, Gaff to Gotti, Razors Edge, and from the
American Pit Bull Amstaff to the American Bully and Shorty Bull but don’t get
it twisted I also love all the Bull Dog breeds from English, Olde, and Mastiff
if you’re a real dog person you will truly know what I’m talking about. I will
always fight for the registries to only allow Pocket x Pocket, Standard x Standard,
and XL x XL to only be registered to get the consistency to one day be nationally
recognized as a breed.
