Okay, ok, okay so I’m going all over the place with this and
this is where I’ll start; when “breeders” say back yard, bad or whatever breeders
are making it tuff, hard, difficult, or whatever for them to sell dogs”; what is
the true reason or reasons for you owning these dogs?
1: 90% of dog breeds, breed in their back yard anyways so many
of us are back yard breeders that’s how I look at it. You’re either a good
breeder or a bad breeder to me no other way to put it. And yes some breeders
stand out amongst the rest because they choose to stay true to themselves and
it shows in their dogs. I didn’t say dog I said dogs producing their consistent
looks many generations down.
2: Are you in it for the so called fame? If so let me know
when you get it cause, I haven’t seen anyone there yet. I feel there’s what I call the “popular” the “not
so popular” and the “unknowns” people in the dog world and like all things in
life they all come with the good the bad and the ugly.
3: Are you in it for the money? Many have said “NO” I’m not
in it for the money; don’t get me wrong I say it too. Honest from years of hard
work and many can tell you that, you’re not going to make any money off a
litter. Even puppy mills don’t make money why do you think they have so many
dogs tryn to chase the riches making nothing. My goal is to recover what I spent
prayerfully for that provisioned litter and again prayerfully recover some of
the money that led up to 3-6 months before that litter hit the ground so it can
be reinvested into the next generation of dogs. That’s not counting the hours
of sleep lost, time off work and so much more.
4: Many say they breed for themselves, right I say this too;
so what does that really mean to you? Are you breeding for what you like? Is it what you like in one pup or in an
entire litter? There is a difference.
5: Have you been
steadfast toward your vision able to make alterations to your vision when needed
to insure you are producing the best quality dog off your yard? But a better
question is; are you willing to keep a litter good or bad? I say this because
oh to often do I see people say these dogs are going for $1200 then this
weekend only $800 then today only $400 and last but not least $200 with papers $150
without; really what’s that all about. See it goes back to money I will never
drop the extremely low price on a dog that’s value is worth so much more
personally from my yard. Dropping the price only tells me it’s about the money with
you because you wouldn’t be dropping the price if it wasn’t a money thing sucka.
Something new lined up already is what most say, need the space, hahahaha. Yea
ok….
Or are you one of those rare few in it because you truly
love your breed. Remember what happens in the dark shall one day come to light.
Your real intentions will show it-self eventually.
