As breeders the goal should be the betterment and preservation of a breed; yet I have noticed a trend within the American Bully community of destroying a breed as a whole and specific breed counterparts “types” at an rapid pace.
Now that I have you thinking you’re saying, what does he mean by betterment of a breed; this is what I’m saying. If you are doing this for the betterment of a breed you should be improving what has already been created great that made you get into the breed to begin with. Improving, improving, improving, to become better in quality, condition, and or value; not this craziness that has been going on and still is at an alarming rate with these animals being hoed out and dying with a drastically declined life expectancy.
Now you’re still thinking what is he talking about preservation; once again this is what I’m saying. We should be doing exactly what preservation means the GUARDING of the breed from danger, harm, or injury not this crazy deformation with the mixing of breeds, unethical breeding tactics to try and get ahead of the next man, and so much more that makes you stray far, far, far away from what made you want to get an American Bully in the first place.
Now for the ones that have no idea of what a trend is its described as a general tendency, movement, or direction; a current or latest fashion or mode. So for the American Bullies it would be as the shortest, widest, wildest looking new dog that hits the circuit and everyone flocks to get dogs from it or out of it with the superficial breeders, judgment becoming warped with only thoughts of huge profits.
Ok, ok, ok, I’ll choose to stop here cause some of you are getting salty so let me just say this; yes not all of the breeders are wrecking the American Bully and its counterparts in some way but there are many who are, so really look within yourself and yard and be 100; is there something or things that needs to be corrected that you’re willingly able to admit? I am and have and will continue to do so, I’ve thrown the rock at myself first hahahahhahahaha
