As of July 15, 2013 the UKC has now began to recognize the American
Bully as a breed, but only as of now the Standard and Classics classes. My opinion
is the UKC has found a way to clean up their American Pit Bull Terrier’s stud
book. Many American Bully breeders for
way too long producing way too many dogs have been selling their American Bullies
as both American Pit Bull Terrier & American Bully by handing new owners
ABKC & UKC papers which really doesn’t make sense to begin with these are 2
totally different breeds. I say good job UKC for finding a way to clean up your
books. What I don’t care for is that the UKC at this time doesn’t recognize the
Pocket and XL Bully which is taking a lot of good real representations of the
Pocket and XL Bullies, ones which are healthy, clean, correct and functional dogs
out of the running of helping better the breed. I listened to the Bully Booth BTK Radio show
when they has the president of the UKC on and I liked the some things the man
had to say, and a few things I didn’t agree with. All I can say is let’s see if
the UKC are truly people of their word and also that I will do my best to make
it out to the first showing of the American Bully and a UKC event and will
report my findings out to the Bully community.
