Meat, Bone, and Organ IMPORTANT INFO

Dogs are carnivores and their anatomy is adapted to one of an carnivorous lifestyle, yet it must contain a complete and balanced diet.

It has strongly muscled jaws with teeth made specifically to tear and crush, accompanied by a muscular stomach which contains extremely powerful gastric fluids, connected to a short digestive system; this is your dog.

1. Meat:  Things like the Heart, Tongue, Chicken or Turkey: Leg Quarters and Gizzards, and Ground meats are considered the most common of the meats.  
   
2. Bone:  Most often you hear of  RMB's (Raw Meaty Bones): these are balanced, meat to bone that can be eaten entirely like Turkey or Chicken: Wings and Necks, two great RMB's. 
3. 

   Organ:  Any organ that secretes is considered appropriate organs for Raw Feeding parts like the Liver, Spleen, Kidney, Testicles and Green Tripe. 

Why Raw

A raw diet in my opinion makes a better life and diet for your dog.  Yes it may cost a little more than your bag of kibble but the over all health of your pet will be that much better.  I have found by feeding my pack a raw diet 4 time a week helped fend an ear infection that plagued one of my bitches away.  It also made it easy to clear up an infection with out using a lot of ear meds from the vet.  Finding the foods that work for you and your dog can be a little difficult.  Once you find what your pockets can handle and the best place to buy in bulk, I guarantee that you and your dog will love the benefits from better nutrition.

Simple First Aid Kit 4 Dogs

• Adhesive tape (1"width) -- bandaging
• Sterile dressing pads (4") can be substitute sanitary napkins -- covering wounds
• Cling gauze -- holding the pad on a wound
• Gauze sponges (2") -- covering clean wounds
• Thermometer -- measuring body temp
• Scissors -- cutting bandage material
• Antibiotic cream or ointment -- topical treatment of minor wounds
• Antiseptic soap/solution -- cleaning wounds
• Pepto-Bismol -- upset stomach  dose 1/2ml to 1ml per1lbs. of body weight 3x daily
• Eye wash (sterile saline) -- washing eyes
• Plastic Elizabethan collar -- prevent dog from licking wounds, irritated skin, rubbing sore eyes or ears
• Blanket or towel -- to keep dog warm or for carrying them (hammock style)
• Rope leash -- for restraint, and can be used as a muzzle
